Vibes and Disruptions: Being Human in the Age of AI
As we are approaching the deadline for our CFP and we are receiving more paper submissions as well as inquiries during these last days, we are happy to announce that our deadline for our call for paper is extended for ten days until April 10, 2026.
The Scattered Pelican is the double-anonymized peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal which is currently inviting critical investigations and academic contributions reflecting on AI as both a technological disruptor and an epistemological force reshaping the Arts & Humanities. As mentioned in our original call for papers, we also propose “Vibe,” which we define as “an intuition evolved in feelings, sensations, and embodied perception,” as an analytic register for this exploration. We invite papers that help us collectively take the pulse of this moment: a shared vibe check on disruption, humanity, and the futures of arts & humanities in an age shaped by artificial intelligence.
Moreover, we welcome submissions from participants of the “26th Annual Graduate Conference of the Department of Languages and Cultures at the University of Western Ontario,” with a separate fast-tracked pathway to peer-reviewing stage. All the other details are similar to the original call for papers. Full submission guidelines and the submission form can be found on our authors’ page.
For all questions and inquiries you can use the contact form or email us at contact@thescatteredpelican.ca
We also have three other calls that we encourage you to check out: All Active Calls (Click Here)!
We look forward to reading your submissions.
