Welcome to the new Fall 2025 issue of The Scattered Pelican!
Due to several problems ranging from administrative to financial, this issue has taken longer to publish than anticipated. We deeply apologise to the contributors of this issue. Your understanding means a great deal to us.
We are pleased to announce that this issue is now available on the journal’s website. We are thankful to the contributors of this issue for sharing your writings with us. Without you, the journal has no existence.
Next, we would like to thank our peer reviewers. The Scattered Pelican follows the process of double-blind peer reviewing. We are very grateful to all the reviewers for giving constructive and helpful feedback.
Our special thanks also to Dr. Melitta Adamson and Sylvia Kontra for their continued support during a period of transition for our editorial team.
This issue, “Travel Light: Apprehending Being on the Move”, explores the intersecting themes of travel, migration, displacement, politics, and the psychology of movement. We are delighted to present five original articles and a book review, along with a special section on translation that extends our exploration of movement across linguistic and cultural boundaries.
Despite the challenges over the past year, The Scattered Pelican remains committed to its primary mission: expanding the readership of comparative literature and its interdisciplinary innovations.
Thank you for reading.
